This poster was created as a study into how color and layout can influence the mood of an audience. I chose the soft lavender and bright orange to create a color scheme that both was eye catching and calm, while still expressive; the same principles drove my typeface choice. While recycling culture does exist on a communal scale in the United States, it is still far behind the intentionality of the Japanese waste system; aside from my own style, I chose to superimpose the Japanese typography in this poster to try and ignite a conversation amongst the younger generation, in which Japanese inspiration is very popular. This poster was selected for showcase in the 2025 Northwest Nazarene University Night of the Arts.
